Michael Mussell - Chief Executive Officer - MBA 1992

Michael MussellUS Citizen, Peruvian resident. 20 years experience in the South American (Peru, Chile, Ecuador) seafood industry. Prior to co-founding Bluewave, Mike had an 8 year tenure at Austral Group S.A.A. finishing as the COO. Austral was the leading diversified seafood company in Peru and a division of the second largest seafood company in the world (Austevoll Seafoods of Norway - Mike held P&L responsibility (Fleet, Production, Logistics, and Sales/Marketing) for $180 million sales, $500 million market cap seafood company). Served as Director of Peruvian National Fisheries Society for eight years advocating responsible fishing and environmental productive practices, as well as directing legislative change. Also served 4 consecutive terms (8 years) as President of the Peruvian Fish Canners Committee as well as 4 years on the advisory editorial board of the Peruvan National Fishing Magazine "Pesca Responsible".

Mr. Mark Rottmann Chief Operating Officer – BSc in Mechanical Engineering

Mr. Mark Rottmann Chief Operating Officer23 years industrial and commercial experience with membranes/equipment/chemical and automation processes in industrial manufacturing.  In 2009 left executive position in the General Electric Company(GE Water & Process Technologies) to co-found Bluewave.   Has held global positions in sales, marketing and product management during his career.  Managed large teams of commercial & operational persons in a $200 million P&L. Extensive sales experience and market development utilizing Value Added products to compete with commodity offerings.  Familiar with Food/Pharma industry and the critical nature of quality and process control required to produce and market FDA compliant products.

Mr. Mesritz - Director

Mr. Mesritz has more than thirty years of experience in international commercial and investment banking, asset and risk management and e-commerce. He has managed multi-billion dollar business units with full profit and loss accountability in three major world markets. From 1996 to 2001, as the regional head of North and South America for Rabobank International based in New York, he re-focused the organization on its customers and achieved outstanding profitability growth. In 2002 he decided to branch out on his own, setting up his company Mesritz, LLC. He successfully arranged the divestiture of vTraction’s (a Rabobank subsidiary) portfolio in North America as a private advisor. Since 2003 he has been on the board of Tailwind AS, a Norwegian shipping company and was involved in the start-up and growth of the company, which has become well-known as a highly profitable owner and charterer of ships to major ship-owners around the world. In the last few years he has co-managed the Octave Transportation Fund, structured a range of transactions (including a major transaction in the fishmeal industry) and was a successful investor in several of them. He received his MBA from Thunderbird Graduate School in Arizona and subsequently served in the Dutch Green Berets as a Second Lieutenant for a year and a half. He is Chairman and co-founder of The Netherland American Community Trust, which was set up to help children in need in the U.S. and co-Chairman of A Leg To Stand On, a charity that focuses on disabled children in developing countries.
